Women on the Run

I'm someone who loves talking about the latest books I've read (even the bad ones... Well, especially the bad ones). That's why I'm so excited to contribute to π’π‘πžπ©π‘πžπ«π, a really cool new resource for book recommendations that come from people, not algorithms.

For π’π‘πžπ©π‘πžπ«π, I compiled a list of five recent recommendations under the topic "women on the run." It's a nice tie-in to my new romance novel 𝐅𝐨π₯π₯𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 π…πžπšπ« and a great way for me to share my latest reads.

And while you're on the site, look for other personalized recommendation lists. I'm sure you'll stumble onto something great.

Finding His Prince

Finding His Prince is finally out!

Dorji is the crown prince of Bhutan, a tiny Buddhist kingdom high up in the Himalayas. He lives a life of responsibility and rules, especially with his coronation fast approaching.

Michael is an American botanist working for the royal family after a very public scandal forced him to leave his country. He’s drawn to the handsome royal, but he knows that any interaction between them would lead to yet another life-derailing scandal. The two men come from different worlds, and even though the attraction between them is palpable, they can never give in to their feelings.

During a royal visit to their national park, Prince Dorji's bitchy fiancΓ©e, Karma, gets lost, and Dorji has to team up with Michael to find her. In the process, sparks fly between the two men. This sweet, comedic romance follows the two as they trek through the most beautiful country on Earth, all while a humbled and embarrassed Karma develops an unexpected side-romance of her own. But as the dangers worsen and the reality of their impossible situation begins to sink in, will Dorji and Michael accept that their love is stronger than the forces keeping them apart?

Followed by Fear

A city girl needs the help of a small-town sheriff to stop her stalker.

Harper’s Bend is the perfect small town, especially on Halloween. Filled with friendly locals and rural traditions, Sydney views this place as her only chance to take back her life and flee from the mysterious stalker who’s been after her since the death of her husband.

She didn’t expect the danger to follow her, and she definitely didn’t expect to develop such an instant connection to local sheriff, Preston Blacker. He’s standoffish and treats her more like a problem to solve than an actual person. There’s a reason for his distance, though, and Sydney realizes that she’s not the only one struggling with a dark past.

As the stalker’s efforts escalate, Sydney and Preston must work together to find out who is following them. But can they keep their emotions in check long enough to save themselves?

Followed by Fear is a romantic suspense story where the heroine finds protection in the arms of a complicated hero while surrounded by the holiday trappings of rural New Mexico. It’s perfect for fans of the high-stakes thrills of Cassie Miles and the quirky small towns of Maddie Day.

Summer Reading Time

Happy summer, everybody! I have all of July free, so I'll be bopping around Bhutan as much as possible. Fingers crossed I get to go white-water rafting.

I'll also be reading. A lot. I spent half my paycheck on new paperbacks at the only bookstore in town. First stop: Duma Key by Stephen King. So far, it's a real page turner.

And speaking of page turners...

Still available. And it's even discounted this month if you buy from Smashwords.

The NIGHT Is Here!

This is it, everybody! The big day!

After all the support I've gotten the last few days, the book is finally ready for download.

One Night in Zanzibar is available wherever you download ebooks in whichever country you currently reside. It's everywhere!

And if you like it, please check out the other books in the City Nights series. Some are more action-packed. Some are more explicit. But all of them have the sort of steamy, tension-filled romances with plenty of twists and turns on the way to the happily ever afters.

I've been to Africa. Did you know that?

Want a bit more comedy in your life?

Then head over to PiC for another snarky article. This one is all about my time in Africa, which was totally real and not at all made up.

And if you want to read my BOOK about Africa, you can do that, too. Just saying.

Good times.

City Nights

As many of you know, my new ebook is part of the long-running City Nights series from Tirgearr Publishing. Each book in the series centers on a single, fast-paced romance in a different international city. Everywhere from Budapest to Boston is represented. And, by the end of this month, you can add Zanzibar to the list.

It's been a real pleasure to be a part of this series, because it combines two of my favorite things (traveling and romance), but it does so with a lot more variety than you'd expect.

You want some stranded-in-a-storm sexual tension? Go to Cape Town.

You want some love with a side of murder mystery? Drive to Boise.

And if you want some bachelor/bachelorette party shenanigans that go totally out of hand? Fly over to Amsterdam.

There are 32 books in the series, soon to be 33, and I love how each one is a totally different take on some classic romance tropes.

So how does mine fit into the rest of the series? First of all, Zanzibar offers a unique blend of tropical and urban. The story extends from a secluded beach to a bustling maze of city streets. Most importantly, though, it captures a real sense of running-for-your-life danger at every turn.

You'll see what I mean when it comes out on November 29.

Introducing... One Night in Zanzibar!

On the run and fearing for her life, Lucy finds herself on Zanzibar, a small bit of paradise off the coast of Tanzania. She isn't worried about romance, only protection. But when she meets a mysterious local, she gives in to the siren's call of the island.

For one unforgettable night, Lucy experiences all the passion and excitement that she's been hiding from. This stranger, though, is more than he seems, and soon Lucy's troubled past will catch up with her.

That’s the big hook for One Night in Zanzibar, my brand new erotic romance from Tirgearr Press. In this book, I’ve mixed a bit of romance and a bit of adventure into a setting that is near and dear to my heart. For anyone who’s been to the East African island, there are plenty of places that you’ll find familiar.

Probably my favorite scene in the book takes place on the tiny sandbank just off the coast of Stone Town. It’s a great setting for when things really start to heat up, and it’s also the site for some of my all-time favorite memories from back when I lived in Zanzibar.

So what exactly happens on the sandbank. I guess you’ll have to download the ebook and find out!

NEW NOVEL ALERT!

I know it's been a while, but my latest romance is finally coming to a store (and an Amazon search page) near you! This one is very special to me, because the main characters criss-cross through the American southwest, riding through some of my favorite towns along Route 66. I haven't lived in America for a long time now, and I really wanted to use this story to reconnect with my culture a little bit.

As you can see from the publisher page, this one starts with the playboy son of a CEO and his ice queen of an employee, mashes them together in a company-mandated road trip, and then watches as the tension rises and the sparks fly. I'm very excited to hear your opinions. It was a blast to write, and I hope it'll be a blast to read, too.

For this book, I've joined forces with Satin Romance, one of the most author-friendly romance publishers out there. Unlike a lot of other publishers, they don't have a strict house style, instead letting their writers maintain their unique voices. I really feel like my voice comes through in this one, and I hope you do, too! Please check out some of the other awesome titles through Satin, as I'm sure you'll find something steamy or sweet or exciting or suspenseful or anything else you want!

Most importantly, though, mark your calendars for January 30, when Rev Your Engines roars into a bookstore near you!

Island on Fire

Last year, I wrote a romantic fantasy called Island on Fire. I was sick of reading about vampires and other pale guys who morph into wolves and stuff, so I decided to use a completely different fantasy world: Hawaiian mythology. Of course, a bunch of books have used Hawaiian creatures before, and tropical volcanoes will always be great settings for fiction, but I felt that Hawaiian mythology wasn’t nearly as overused as other legends.

My plan is to get this story released sometime next year. Nothing’s in place yet, but I really have high hopes for this one. It has an interesting conflict, and a really vivid setting.

But you can see for yourself. The first chapter is available on Harlequin’s website. Tell me what you think. Are you enjoying the characters as much as I enjoyed writing about them?

WAKING UP… TO A BRAND NEW ROMANCE NOVEL

Well, everyone! The day is finally here! My new romance novel Waking Up to Love is FINALLY available on Amazon as well as through Crimson Romance. This is my first ever romance story, and I’m pretty proud of it. I wanted to use all the usual romance tropes (comas, twins, mistaken identities, friends-to-lovers) in one big, soapy blend.

I won’t tell you any more of the details, except to say that there are also near-drownings, heated arguments, and a lot of romantic tension. Pick up your copy today!
